the Malete metadata record
| overview |
Every database may have a metadata record assigned.
The system may also have a default metadata record containing defaults.
The core defines metadata fields 001-009,
to be used in the same way by all applications and environments.
- 001 name and options
as used by the core on the
command line
- 002 unused
(see
TagUse
)
- 003 content-type
contains a MIME charset and other information mostly for the client
for proper interpretation of the data
- 004 collation
definition or reference used by the core as detailed in
charsets and collation
- 005 version
last modified time of this metadata
- 006 field definition
as of
RecStruct
- 007 unused (index definition?)
- 008 unused (references?)
- 009 unused (stopwords? any?)
We may use an CDS/ISIS compatibility block, e.g. 01x,
to store the original contents of
files
like the .FST or ISISAC.TAB from
imported CDS databases for use by some compatibility application.
